CDM 2015 requires the Client to appoint a Principal Designer (PD) and  Principal Contractor (PC) where there is, or is likely to be, more than one contractor working on a project.

It’s the Clients responsibility to ensure that any appointments (PC or PD) they must ensure that they have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience. Most Designers and Principal Designers are likely to hold the necessary skills or can with time develop members of their teams to enhance their knowledge of Health and Safety, to fully meet the requirements of CDM 2015.

However, health and safety consultants like us can offer an Advisory service during pre-planning and construction phase of projects. Hence our CDM Adviser service can provide assistance to:

Architects and Designers,  whose feel their team lack the Health and Safety knowledge and experience of CDM 2015, maybe as an interim whilst their training is taking place

Clients, who are either preparing to embark on a project or in early the stages of undertaking a project and have concerns as to their Health and Safety responsibilities, maybe prior to/or following appointing Principal Contractors and/or Principal Designers in accordance with CDM 2015

Principal Contractors, who wish assistance with ensuring that they are fully compliant with the requirements of undertaking a construction project to meet CDM 2015

Contractors, who require assistance with improving their health and safety whilst operating under a Principal Contractor in line with CDM 2015

By engaging Asbolute Health and Safety Solutions Ltd we can offer a friendly service that can interact with your project team(s) and assist you in reviewing one or more projects as they progress through different stages and advise on Health and Safety requirements, which in turn reinforces your competency to meet the requirements of the Principal Deisgner role in line with CDM 2015.

Our CDM 2015 Flowchart can be utlised to see where you feel you need our assitance
